R&D Startup Support Program / Commercialization support for seed-stage R&D startups

(CEO: Kazuhiko Nishioka, hereinafter referred to as "SUN METALON") has been selected by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development

Organization (hereinafter referred to as "NEDO") to receive a grant from NEDO for the "R&D Start-up Support Project / Commercialization Support for R&D Start-ups in the Seed Phase" in FY2022. We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the grant, following screening by external experts and internal review by NEDO.

The grant will be used to support the commercialization of R&D startups in the seed stage.

This program promotes the investment and support activities of venture capitalists and seed accelerators (hereinafter referred to as "VC, etc.") who invest in seed-stage research and development startups (hereinafter referred to as "STS"), and provides business support to STS by utilizing their knowledge and support functions.

Specifically, there are two stages: accreditation of VCs, etc. and adoption by STSs. The grant application is contingent on obtaining a letter of intent to invest (or a report of investment) from a VC, etc. accredited by NEDO.
